Nadiya

Recording since 1997, Nadiya is well known in France, but it was to be the release of the anthemic single "Et c'est parti" featuring Franco-American rapper Smartzee in 2004 that finally introduced Nadiya to a more international audience.

Taken from the award winning album "16/9", "Et c'est parti" features Nadiya singing in French (with a touch of Franglais), while rapper Smartzee does the honours in English.

"Et c'est parti" was probably the most played single in France in 2004!

In 2005, Nadiya won the coveted Victoires de la musique award for her album "16/9" in the category of best Rap, Hip-Hop album of the year.

Trivia: As well as being an RnB diva, Nadiya is also a former French athletics champion of the 800 metres.
